Atrium Health Navicent opens new primary care clinic in Perry
The new clinic offers family medicine, urgent care, lab services and X-rays, with plans for future expansion.

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Atrium Health has expanded health care access in Perry with the opening of a new Atrium Health Navicent Primary Care and Family Medicine Clinic.
Atrium Health marked the opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday. The clinic will offer services including family medicine, urgent care, laboratory testing and X-rays. Officials say as Middle Georgia continues to grow, Atrium Health Navicent plans to expand services in the future, including OB/GYN care and rural clinics.
Board Chair Starr Purdue said access to health care can be a challenge, and the new clinic will help meet the needs of families in the area.
“It can be tough when you’re looking for a trusted one-stop provider for your entire family,” Purdue said. “With this new clinic, families in Perry and the surrounding community will have easier access to preventive and sick care and will get help managing health conditions, all without having to drive far from home.”
Chief Clinical Officer Sanford Duke said the clinic will enhance the community by bringing additional medical services and advanced technology.
“We have the opportunity to help with chronic disease management like diabetes, hypertension, and congestive heart failure, backed by the specialists we have at Atrium Health Navicent,” Duke said. “Annual wellness visits, sick child visits, and sick adult visits — we’re super excited about that.”
Atrium Health Navicent President Richard Johnson said the new year is often a time for resolutions, and that begins with primary care.
“So this is where it all starts in terms of creating access, building relationships with your physicians and caregivers, and having the information you need,” Johnson said. “We’re here to do that for our community.”
The clinic is located at 2370 Houston Lake Road in Perry.
