WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Atrium Health Navicent celebrated the recent opening of its new primary care facility in Warner Robins on Wednesday.

Atrium Health Navicent Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Sandy Duke says the clinic, located at 113 Willie Lee Parkway in Warner Robins, offers care for patients aged two and older, including physicals, immunizations and same-day sick appointments.

“We’re going to be offering primary care services, after hour services, sick visits, and occupational medicine here in Houston County,” Dr. Duke said. “We’re excited about the offerings of high quality, excellent primary care and the services we have for Warner Robins. It’s going to be an opportunity to expand quality healthcare and access for all.”

The center is Atrium Health Navicent’s first primary care facility in Houston County. Atrium Health Navicent Chief Clinical Officer Dr. Sandy Duke says this has helped residents avoid long waits in emergency rooms and urgent care facilities.

“Obviously an emergency room is necessary when someone has a serious injury or serious illness,” Dr. Duke said. “But this is the opportunity for routine sick visits and after hours care to avoid needing to go to urgent care or the emergency room.”

Dr. Duke says the center has treated an average of 30 patients per day since opening in October.
