Arrest Make In Dollar General, Family Dollar Break-Ins

MACON, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – A Macon man is charged in connection with several burglaries in the Houston Avenue area.

Bibb County deputies arrested 58-year-old Ernesto Canty, Sr. on Houston Avenue around 10:00 Thursday night.

Canty is now a suspect in over six separate burglary investigations of the Dollar General and Family Dollar stores on Houston Avenue. Several of the stores surveillance cameras captured video footage of Canty.

Canty is charged with six counts of Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools for Commission of a Crime, and a Probation Violation Superior Court warrant.
