Arrest made in Telfair County aggravated assault incident

JACKSONVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Telfair County Sheriff’s deputies arrested an aggravated assault suspect after witnesses say he shot 34-year-old Sabial Dominguez.

According to a news release, deputies responded to the incident around 5:00 p.m. Sunday.

They found Dominguez with shotgun wounds to his torso, legs and arms.

Witnesses say Caldwell shot Dominguez after an argument and fled the scene.

He was found in a wooded area nearby.

Caldwell was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Dominguez was treated for his injuries at a local hospital and released.
