PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Michael James Jordan, 34, was arrested today in connection with a quadruple homicide in Perry, Georgia. The killings occurred at a residence on Gaines Drive on April 4th.
Perry Police identified the victims as 37-year-old Tuquondrea Robinson, 51-year-old Michelle Joiner, 82-year-old Beaulah Robinson and 2-year-old A’laoiah Joiner. All four victims were related, police said, and police believe the suspect knew them. According to the Perry Police Department, it was determined that three of the victims were stabbed and one was suffocated.
Perry Police charged Jordan with four counts of malice murder, four counts of felony murder, and four counts of aggravated assault. Additionally, Jordan faces three counts of possession of a knife during the commission of certain felonies. He also faces charges of first-degree child abuse, and abuse and neglect of individuals over 65 years old and those with disabilities.
Authorities had named Jordan a person of interest in the case on April 17th. At that time, he faced charges of aggravated stalking, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and violation of probation.
Jordan is currently being held at the Houston County Detention Center without bond.
“We want to assure the community that this was an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to public safety,” said Chief Alan Everidge in a news release.
The case has now been handed over to the Houston County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution. Perry Police say they will not be making any further public statements on the case.
STATEMENT FROM HOUSTON COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY ERIC EDWARDS:
“The individual charged in this case, Michael James Jordan, has been in continuous custody since the night the victims were discovered on April 4, 2025. While he was originally arrested on a charge of Aggravated Stalking relating to one of the victims, investigators from the Perry Police Department have now filed warrants for the murders of all four victims based on the continued progress of their investigation. It is our responsibility to proceed methodically and deliberately in all matters referred to our office, and that is what we have done in this case—working in constant conjunction with the Perry Police Department. I will not comment on the specific evidence at this time, as this remains an active and pending case. We will continue working closely with the Perry Police Department and all involved agencies to pursue justice on behalf of the victims and their families.”
