Arrest Made In Attack of 77-Year-Old Woman In Milledgeville

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – Officials with the Milledgeville Police Department are investigating an assault that involves a 77-year-old woman.

Police arrested 35-year-old Michael Joseph Sarber of Byron in connection to the investigation. He’s now in the Baldwin County Law Enforcement Center (LEC).

Police say Sarber is accused of attacking a woman as she was getting into her car around 1:00pm Wednesday on South Wayne Street. Police say Sarber pushed her inside her vehicle, but the victim was able to fight him off with a set of keys. And she blew her car horn.

Sarber is being charged with robbery and kidnapping.
