Armed man rescued from burning home in Macon
According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Marshals were serving a warrant on a wanted man from Florida at a home on Columbus Street.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An armed man was rescued Monday morning after barricading himself inside a burning home in west Macon.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals were serving a warrant on a wanted man from Florida at a home on Columbus Street.
They say while serving the warrant, he then barricaded himself inside with a weapon and a fire broke out. That’s when S.W.A.T. team members and U.S. Marshals rushed inside to rescue him.
The man was later identified as Douglas Allan Marshall. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
