Area GEICO Gives Record-Breaking Donation to United Way

GEICO is the United Way of Central Georgia’s largest donor! Today Macon’s GEICO office handed over $856,712 to the 2010 United Way campaign. This is the largest donation they’ve ever made.

“Particularly in these economic times yah know, being willing and able to generate this kind of contribution it just makes us all so proud,” explained Mary Zarcone, GEICO Regional Vice President.

Zarcone says about 4,500 associates made today’s donation possible. They did everything to raise funds, from payroll deductions to bake sales. ?
