Apparent Murder-Suicide Under Investigation in Wheeler County

The GBI and Wheeler County Sheriff’s office are investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving two co-workers.

According to Assistant Special Agent in Charge Todd Lowery, the incident happened this morning around 8:30.

Both males appear to be in their 30s and where found with gunshot wounds at the farm they both worked at off Hope Church Road.

Lowery tells 41 NBC the shooter may have suffered from mental illness. An autopsy will be preformed tomorrow.
