Annual turkey giveaway to benefit Middle Georgia residents

Attorney Daryl Von Yokely said there will be 500 turkeys available for those in need.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The 11th annual Turkey Giveaway is set to provide 500 turkeys to families in need across Middle Georgia, according to Attorney Daryl Von Yokely.

The event, now a local holiday tradition, will be held in the parking lot of Overtyme Bar & Grille at 2455 Pio Nono Avenue in Macon. Attendees will receive turkeys, collard greens and drinks.

Distribution begins at noon  on November 22 and will continue until supplies run out.
