Fort Valley State University Cooperative Extension hosts it annual Heritage Day at Flint River Farms Community Park.

FORT VALLEY, GA (41NBC/WMGT) – Fort Valley State University Cooperative Extension is hosting it annual Heritage Day at Flint River Farms Community Park.
During the event attendees will learn how African-Americans lived, cooked and ate before modern conveniences like grocery stores were invented.
Guests will also learn how to make preserves and the proper way of cooking of Pork Skins.
They can take tours of the History Museum and Macon County Extension & 4H.
The event is Saturday, February 1.
