Annual fitness camp wants kids ‘off the couch’ for the summer

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – For more than five years, Camp Fun n’ Fit promoted a healthy summer lifestyle for children of all ages, and today, the same message is remembered for the opening of the day camp.

Members with the Central Georgia Health System, including the Wellness Center and The Children’s Hospital at the Medical Center of Central Georgia partnered to host the month long event. 

Kids 6 to 11 years old have the option to participate activities, including dance, swimming, yoga, journaling, crafts, gardening and a variety of games.

According to a news release, the camp will take place June 2-27 from 9:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. 

The cost is $165 per week.

Registration comes with access to all field trips, supplies and classes, and a t-short.
