Annual 41NBC Memorial Blood Drive aims to collect more than 60 pints of blood

Donors that give blood, platelets, or plasma will receive a Red Cross t-shirt while supplies last.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The 12th Annual 41NBC Memorial Blood Drive will take place from May 20 through June 9.

Holly Winner, Executive Director of the Central Midwest Georgia Chapter at the American Red Cross, says this years goal is to collect 61 pints of blood.

Winner says donations often decline around holidays like Memorial Day, so she encourages people to donate during the Summer months.

Donors can give blood at the following locations:

  • May 28: Hart’s Mortuary –307 Pecan Lane in Gray ( 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.)
  • May 28: Sardis-Heard Funerals & Cremation Center – 6125 Houston Rd. in Macon (1 p.m. to 5 p.m.)
  • May 29: Laurens County Library –801 Bellevue Avenue in Dublin (1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
  • May 30: Carl Vinson VA Medical Center – 1826 Veterans Blvd in Dublin ( 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)

Donors that give blood, platelets, or plasma will receive a Red Cross t-shirt while supplies last.

Eligible donors can schedule an appointment to give blood using the Blood Donor App, RedCrossBlood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
