American Red Cross and 41NBC partners for blood drive
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – There is still time to save someone’s life. The American Red Cross and 41NBC partnered again for a blood drive.
People gave blood at the Galleria Mall in Centerville Friday afternoon. Senior Account Manager of the Red Cross Brian Fern says for those who are afraid of needles, there’s nothing to worry about, because it’s worth their time.
“If I told you that if you can get a finger prick and a needle stick for about twelve minutes, being in the presence of a needle for about twelve minutes, to save three people lives, would you do it? And that pretty much changes their minds most of the time, Fern adds.”
The process takes about one to two hours, but to avoid long waits, donors can go to redcrossblood.org and sign up for rapid pass.
