Alexander II Parades in Pink and Purple to Relay for Life
Students and staff at Alexander II Magnet School made their way around Tatnall Square Park this morning to walk for life.
They sold pinwheels for $1 dollar to raise money for cancer research. The school’s team, “Alexander II’s Angels” raised nearly $5,000 for Bibb County’s Relay for Life. Assistant Principal Susan Goins says this walk was a chance for her students to experience a mini-relay.
“We walked around Tatnall Square Park and the kids were just singing and cheering and laughing the whole way.”
The Alexander II Angels will be at Bibb County’s Relay for Life. The event kicks off at Shrine Park on May 6th at 5:30 pm.
