Air Force Colonel addresses Macon Rotary Club
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Colonel Christopher Hill says Robins Air Force Base is making a major economic impact in Middle Georgia.
Monday, Hill addressed the Macon Rotary Club during a luncheon.
He told the Rotarians gathered at First Presbyterian Church that the overall impact of Robins Air Force Base is about $2.9 billion dollars every year.
“That’s an important part of the economic engine of Robins and the leading and largest industrial site in the state of Georgia,” said Hill. “It’s very important that we perform to our potential.”
Col. Hill says he wants business and community leaders to understand how Robins Air Force Base functions. He says RAFB is applying a more “scientific” approach to production.
“We want them to understand the size, scope and scale of all the operations at Robins Air Force base,” explained Hill.
