Aggravated Assault Suspect Shot in the Act

A man gets shot after police say he tried to beat a man at a gas station.  29-year-old Robert Ia of Macon is under arrest, while undergoing treatment at the MedicalCenter.

Wednesday night, Macon Police responded to a shooting at the Chevron on Pio Nono Avenue.  Two suspects approached the victim when he parked his truck.  One of them argued about his parking spot.  The other suspect opened the door, punched the victim in the face and grabbed him by the neck.

The victim got a hold of his own gun and shot one of them in the elbow.  The wounded suspect left the scene and went to the hospital.

Robert Ia will be transported back to the Bibb LEC after treatment.
