Aerospace company to bring 150 new jobs to Macon-Bibb

MACON, Georgia (WMGT/41NBC) – New jobs are coming to Macon-Bibb County.

Tuesday, the Macon-Bibb Industrial Authority announced that Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems is openings a base of operations at Middle Georgia Regional Airport.

The company is based out of Greenville, South Carolina, and it is expected to create 150 new jobs with average pay of 28 dollars per hour.

Stevens Aerospace and Defense Systems says it is a leading aircraft maintenance provider.

The company has committed to a three year lease agreement.
