Additional downtown trash pick-up to meet needs of area

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb Solid Waste Department is adding trash pick-up times in downtown to better meet the needs of the area.

Starting Monday, August 19th, Solid Waste is adding a second route to downtown.

Currently, trash is collected Monday through Saturday around 7:30 a.m. for all 186 downtown containers. There’s now an addition route running Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after the lunch rush.

The recycling cans will now be treated as trash cans.
