Accused Macon bank robber pleads guilty
He wrote ‘Just give the $20 & $50. Matter of fact all the money in the drawer. I don’t want to hurt nobody.’
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The man accused of robbing the State Bank and Trust on Pio Nono Avenue in June 2015 plead guilty to one count of bank robbery.
30-year-old Kevin Trevin Foster admitted to a U.S. District Court judge he took money from the bank. As part of his plea agreement, Foster told the court he requested a withdrawal from his account.
After filling out a counter check and giving it to the teller where he was supposed to write his name, he wrote ‘Just give the $20 & $50. Matter of fact all the money in the drawer. I don’t want to hurt nobody.’
Foster then took the money in an envelope and ran away.
He was later arrested at the Quality Inn located in west Bibb County following a tip with Macon Regional Crimestoppers.
When investigators searched his hotel room, they found the money and also matched the shorts he was wearing to the man on the bank’s video recording during the robbery.
Foster’s next court date is May 25th. He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, a maximum fine of $250,000, or both.
