Accused Fort Valley serial rapist denied bond

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Accused serial rapist, Darrell Aundray Ross appeared before Peach County Magistrate Court Judge Larry Lee to answer a slew of rape charges, Friday.

Ross is charge with 3 counts of rape and one count of attempted rape along with a list of other charges including home invasion and aggravated assault charges.

According to Peach County Sheriff Terry Deese there are nearly 20 charges filed against Ross.

Ross told the Magistrate Court Judge he was working on getting an attorney.

Judge Lee denied Ross bond for his release and bound his case over to Peach County Superior Court.

“Everybody in this community were feeling real uneasy and worried about their daughters and their mothers, and people in this community,” explained Deese. “So, obviously it’s a relief on all of us that we can sleep better knowing that he’s been taken off the street.”

Sheriff Deese said they are not revealing what type of evidence they have against Ross.

He says his office is more concerned about keeping the victims safe by not disclosing any information about their identity.

“There all delicate cases,” he added. “We got some young women that have been victimized and we want to make sure that they have say so in the court.”
