A Taste of Ireland brings world-class Irish music and dance to Macon

Irish culture takes center stage in Middle Georgia next month as A Taste of Ireland – The Irish Music & Dance Sensation brings its internationally acclaimed production to Macon.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The high-energy show will perform at The Piedmont Grand Opera House on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., featuring a cast of world champion Irish dancers and live musicians known for blending traditional Irish dance with a modern twist.

The production stars performers from celebrated shows such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, delivering lightning-fast footwork, powerful storytelling, and live music that highlights Ireland’s history and evolving culture.

Lead dancers Callum O’Neill and Rochelle Hoffmann say the show offers something for everyone from longtime fans of Irish dance to first-time audience members.

Organizers say this production takes the heart of traditional Irish dance and brings it into the present. It’s fast, emotional, and incredibly fun to watch.

O’Neill says that performing for audiences across the U.S. is a special experience, especially in cities like Macon.

A Taste of Ireland is part of a 2026 world tour following successful runs on the West End in the U.K., Off-Broadway in New York, and international performances in Australia and New Zealand. Critics have praised the show for its “world-class Irish dancing” and vibrant musical performances.

The Macon stop is part of a Georgia tour that includes performances in Augusta, Albany, and Savannah.
