MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A cold front has arrived along with gusty winds. The front has dragged the mid-level jet across the south along with strong winds and Screenshot 2025 03 20 183622Screenshot 2025 03 20 183638cold air. We reached a high temperature of 60 which was a struggle and overnight lows will be below freezing along the I-85 and Middle Georgia corridor for Thursday night into Friday morning. If you tried to get a head start on your garden, it’s probably a good idea to cover things up until temperatures can bounce back this weekend. Looking ahead, a front on Sunday into Monday will bring our next round of precipitation. A few thunderstorms are possible on Monday morning, but severe weather is not expected. The rain will clear the area late on Monday bringing more seasonal temperatures back to the area by Tuesday. Quiet weather is expected for the better part of next week with high temperatures in the upper 60s and lower 70s with overnight lows in the 40s and 50s.
