A bit colder Friday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – I hope you had the chance to get out and enjoy the sunshine today and much warmer weather than we have seen all week. Unfortunately we will not be seeing this temperatures last very wrong as another cold air blast is expected this weekend. Overnight we will see a few showers across middle Georgia. The timing for rain showers is anywhere from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., have the rain jacket if you work overnight. On the early morning hours of Friday a cold front will traverse through the area. Temperatures will be in the 40s tomorrow morning with our southeastern counties in the upper 30s. We will not warm up much tomorrow into the upper 40s low 50s. Wind chills will be much colder with 10 to 15 mph wind gust expected. Temperature will begin to fall throughout the afternoon. Cold artic air will be here overnight Friday into Saturday morning with temperatures in the teens to low 20s. Temperatures will feel like the teens on Saturday morning. We will not warm up much only in the upper 30s low 40s on Saturday, however it will feel much cooler. The good news is that there will be plenty of sunshine. Sunday will be colder with morning temperatures in the upper teens feeling much colder. Mid 40s and partly cloudy on your Sunday afternoon. We will begin to warm up next week back into the 60s by Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday could bring the 70s and showers to the area.
