Tech Report: Telehealth care may change for patients soon

The expansion of telehealth has made care more accessible for many people, especially those in rural areas. Patients have been able to receive prescriptions from their providers without seeing them in person. That may change, come May 11 when the federal government is set to end the Covid-19 Public Health Emergency declaration that made this convenience possible.

Books almost entirely generated by AI are flooding Amazon’s marketplace, The Washington Post reports, a trend that’s turning out to be a huge headache for human authors. The growing problem is making it more difficult to distinguish real authors from the AI-generated bylines of non-existent writers. NewsGuard, a firm that measures the credibility of online news sources, identified a whopping 49 websites producing content that appeared to be either mostly or entirely AI-generated in the month of April alone.

Innovative Eyewear, the developer and retailer of smart eyewear under the Lucyd, Nautica, and Eddie Bauer brands has launched a new IOS and Android app called Lucyd. The Lucyd app enables a voice interface for ChatGPT on their smart eyewear. The user can ask questions to chatGPT through microphones already built into the glasses and hear the responses through stereo speakers.
