Upcoming workshop teaching financial literacy to high school students

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – There’s still time for you to sign up your high school student for the “Build a Budget Pop Up Workshop” happening April 21st in Macon.

Organizers say it will prepare students for the real world.

“I think it is so important to expose youth to financial literacy at an early age in an effort to develop positive relationships with money and instill wealth building tactics,” says Kendra Denmark.

Teenagers will get the opportunity to learn about building wealth and financial literacy.

“It will use preventive measures to help youth understand how their decisions about money today affects their future,” says Denmark.

The workshop is happening at the IMIME Empowerment center, Saturday, April 21st.

“Through hands on activities, high school students will engage in real world scenarios that will both challenge and develop their financial intelligence,” says Denmark.
