Houston County Board of Education names Dr. Alma Mundy as new principal of Northside Middle School

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT). – The Houston County Board of Education has named Dr. Alma Mundy as the next principal of Northside Middle School. Dr. Mundy currently serves as the Assistant Principal of Instruction for Northside Middle and will begin this new role in June.
Dr. Mundy is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University, Wesleyan College, and Mercer University. She has a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Middle Grades Education, a master’s degree in Middle Grades Science and Math Education, and a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. She also completed an Educational Leadership Program through Georgia College and State University.
In a statement, Dr. Mundy said, “I am overjoyed to serve as the next Principal of Northside Middle School and sincerely appreciate Dr. Scott and the Executive Cabinet for believing in me. I am deeply grateful to the staff and students who I have worked with for the past eight years. I have learned a great deal working with a strong administrative staff. Dr. Dykes, my mentor, has been very instrumental in training me, and Mr. Basby is such an encouraging team player, full of energy and presence. I am ready for us all to continue to soar to new heights at the home of the Jets!”
