Olympic champion set to visit two local high schools this week
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Some Bibb County students will get to see an Olympic champion at their school this week.
Jackie Joyner-Kersee is set to visit Northeast High School and Central High School Thursday.
She won six medals at the 1988 and 1992 Olympics. Joyner-Kersee won two gold medals in the Heptathlon, and one in long jump.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Georgia and Bibb County GEAR UP are sponsoring her visit.
