Person dead following car accident in South Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sherrif’s Office is investigating the crash that killed 36-year-old Cornelius Epie.

Deputies say Epie was getting off the Pio Nono Avenue ramp on I-75S when he lost control of his truck and crashed into a creek.

It happened around 9am Monday.

Epie’s wife, 37-year-old Cherry Epie and their three children were also inside the Ford F-150.

They were taken to a local hospital and are expected to be OK.
