UPDATE: Car accident in Warner Robins claims one life

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One person is dead after a car accident that happened in Warner Robins Monday night.

Around 9 p.m., officers responded to a collision that took place at the intersection of Watson Blvd. and Briarcliff Road.

According to a news release from the Warner Robins Police Department, a 2013 Smart Car driven by 50-year-old Pamela Mobley Banks of Fort Valley was rear ended by a 2006 Acura RSX. The Acura was being driven by 51-year-old Carole Ann Van Nostrand of Warner Robins.

The Smart Car proceeded to jump a curb after the hit, strike a metal support pole, and roll over. Banks was pronounced dead at the scene.

Van Nostrand was taken to the Houston Medical Center. No further information on her condition has been released so far.
