Bibb Residents Vote “Yes” on SPLOST

Macon, GA (WMGT/41NBC)- with 34 of 34 precincts reporting, The Bibb County SPLOST vote passed 61% to 39%.

Commissioners are hoping to generate an additional $280 Million for various projects.

The money will be used to extend the runway at Middle Georgia Regional Airport, and Walker Road Landfill will be closed.

Also there ware several parks that would get upgrades, in addition to a transfer station that would be built to help with managing waste and recycling.
