Man arrested for June gas station murder in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 20-year-old is charged with the June murder of a Macon gas station employee.

Antwaine Couch is charged with felony murder for his participation in the robbery and shooting at the Sunoco Gas Station on Bloomfield Road on June 18th, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies explained during the investigation, investigators wanted to talk with Couch about the crime.

The found Couch Friday afternoon and took him to the Criminal Investigations Division for questioning.

After the interview, Couch was charged, according to the release.

He was taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Law Enforcement Center and booked where he is currently being held without bond.

Prakash Patel, 40, died after he was shot in the stomach.

Deputies said they are still investigating the shooting.
