Three dead after Monroe County car accident

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A head on collision in Monroe County killed three people Sunday.

It happened around 2 a.m. on I-75 south near mile marker 195.

Investigators with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said 32-year-old David Fryar was driving his car on the wrong side of the road.

Deputies received a call that the car was going the wrong way on the interstate, but weren’t able to reach the car before the accident happened, according to the department.

Fryar and 29-year-old Monserrat Ruiz-Godinez’s car hit head on. Fryar and Ruiz-Godinez both died.

Ruiz-Godinez’s 7-year-old daughter, Alani, was taken to the hospital where she later died.
