Reichert hopes to continue pushing Macon-Bibb forward

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon-Bibb County Mayor Robert Reichert is returning to office. He and his supporters watched numbers come in at his campaign headquarters.

Reichert says he plans on continuing what he started while looking to improve what he calls “connectivity” between Macon and other parts of the state.

“Transportation is our future. Not just freight transportation and information technology. You’ve got to be able to transmit information,” Reichert said.

The mayor initially had one other opponent, Lonzy Edwards, who died several weeks ago.
