Early voting begins, new Macon-Bibb precinct sees first visitors

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Early voting for the May 24th election started Monday.

The new precinct at Macon’s Terminal Station saw some traffic on its first day.

Precinct Manager Barbara White said the Board of Elections has wanted to open a second early voting location for some time.

“We were trying to make it easier for people who live on the east side of town, rather than having to go all the way to Pio Nono to vote early. They can just come here and we have the same thing set up here that they have at Pio Nono,” explained White.

If you want to vote for the Bibb County Sheriff position, you must request a democratic ballot.

Early voting ends May 20th.
