UPDATE: Arrests made in Warner Robins illegal gambling investigation

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Warner Robins police made eight arrests after issuing multiple warrants in connection to an illegal gambling investigation.

Kanaiyalal Patel,  Kapilaben Patel, Hardeep Sanghera, Deepak Bajaj, Rebecca Bajaj, Richa Patel, Babubhai Patel and Ankitkumar Patel are all charged with racketeer influence and corrupt organizations.

Warner Robins police served 14 search warrants at multiple locations in Warner Robins, Centerville, Milledgeville, and Macon.

According to a news release, illegal gambling is suspected at the locations. The Department of Revenue, the Lottery Corporation and the District Attorney’s Office is assisting in the investigation.

At this time arrests are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
