Woman arrested for stabbing ex-boyfriend at Macon mini mart

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 28-year-old woman is accused of stabbing her ex-boyfriend in the leg with a kitchen knife Monday afternoon.

It happened at the C Mini Mart on Houston Avenue around 4 p.m.

The clerk told Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies Tyesha Haslam came into the store yelling at 29-year-old Jerome Smith before stabbing him, according to a news release from the department.

After talking with Smith, Haslam left the store. Smith was taken to the hospital and treated for his injury. Investigators consider it to be non-life-threatening.

Haslam is charged with aggravated assault. No bond has been set at this time.
