MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The annual Cherry Blossom Festival brought in nearly $7 million in 2014.

“Always keeping alert to what’s going on out there because things are changing all the time. We have one break dancing group that almost came last year and we’re on the verge of getting them this year — things like that,” he said.

There are new events and different times they’re scheduled to begin. Ferro went on to estimate the economic impact since the festival began between $130 and $180 million.

He’s urging the community to come to at least one event during the festival.
