Macon-Bibb polls open for Super Tuesday
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon-Bibb voters are making sure their voices are heard this presidential campaign season.
Polls opened at 7 a.m. for Super Tuesday. Presidential candidates are hoping to win several key states, Georgia being one of them.
The Middle Georgia State polling precinct’s manager told 41NBC there was a line when doors opened at 7 a.m. Some voters said this has been one of the more interesting presidential campaign seasons. They’re excited to see the outcome tonight.
“One candidate has not held a political office and that campaign is kind of interesting. You have Bernie Sanders, Hillary, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio who are kind of newcomers,” said Mia Raines.
They said the most important thing people can do Tuesday is get out and vote.
“It’s such an opportunity for all Americans to come out and have a say in who will be heading up this country. It’s a wonderful country we live in and we want the best for everyone. I think if we exercise our right to vote, that’s the most powerful thing that we can do,” said Macon-Bibb voter Eileen Batchelor.
