Macon car accident sends one to hospital

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) -A woman was sent to the emergency room after her car was hit by an SUV on College Street in Macon this afternoon.

According to first responders, the woman, who was driving a Honda Fit, pulled out onto College Street near Massee Apartments when she was hit by a GMC Yukon.

The Yukon then veered up onto a nearby embankment and into a tree before coming to a stop.

The driver of the Yukon didn’t need medical attention. The woman, who hasn’t been identified, was taken to the hospital for leg and neck pain.
