Man steals car away from driver in Monroe County

BOLINGBROKE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man stole a car from another man at an intersection in Bolingbroke Wednesday evening.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says a dark sedan lightly hit the victim’s car while he was stopped at a stop sign at Pea Ridge Road and Georgia Highway 19.

A man wearing a dark colored hoodie showed him a gun and told him to leave his car.

He jumped in after the victim got out and drove off.

Both cars went south on Georgia Highway 19 toward Bibb County.

The victim’s truck was a black 2015 Ford F-150 Platinum with 24-in chrome rims, with the license plate QFP1813.
