Georgia College to close all campus classes and offices today

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Georgia College is closing all campus classes and offices at noon today, January 22, 2016.  The closing will last until Sunday night, January 24, and Midnight. 

Governor Nathan Deal has issued a state of emergency for 21 counties in Georgia.  Although no Georgia College campuses are included in the State of Emergency, school officials made the decision to close anyway.  The decision was made because they are going to experience a high risk of severe weather and many of their students and faculty have to commute. 

Emergency personnel and student dining will remain on campus.
