Valdosta State Prison new home for Stephen McDaniel

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Stephen McDaniel, convicted of killing and dismembering his neighbor 27-year-old Lauren Giddings, has been moved from the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification State Prison in Jackson.

According of the Georgia Department of Corrections website, McDaniel is now being held in the Valdosta State prison.

McDaniel plead guilty to the crime and was sentenced to life without parole.
