What’s Right With Our Schools: Organization accepts Rutland Middle teacher into ‘global education’ experience
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Teachers for Global Classroom (TGC) selects Rutland Middle School Teacher Shiona Drummer to experience teaching in a Senegal classroom.
Drummer, 7th grade life science teacher, says she wants to set a standard for Bibb County educators and reinforce what she teaches her students currently.
“There is a push for people to act local, but think global,” adds Drummer.
Drummer says the trip is paid through IREX, the parent company over TGC.
41NBC’s Taylor Terrell shares more on What’s Right With Our Schools tonight on 41NBC news at 6:00 p.m.
