New luxury hotel coming to Milledgeville

MILLEGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A new hotel is coming to Milledgeville and it’s bringing 37 job opportunities with it.

The 94-room Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Hotel will be on 441 North at Lake Sinclair.  The 14-million dollar investment was purchased by Collgiate Venture’s and real estate developer Gary Spillers.  

The project will create 37 new jobs.  Seven of those will be open for local college students who have career interests in hotel and restaurant hospitality.

Spillers says they chose the Wyndham brand for its luxurious feel and quality.
