Turkey giveaway feeds more than 600 families

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – More than 600 families received free turkeys Saturday.

The event was held at Overtyme Bar and Grill. Organizers explained how important it was for families to have a well-prepared meal for the holiday season.

“This is one of our efforts we try to do in the holidays, and this is the season of giving,” Claudell Brice said.

The restaurant plans to hold a “feed the hungry” event on Tuesday.
