Georgia Tech (3-7, 1-6 ACC) @ Miami (6-4, 3-3 ACC)
Thursday, November 21 at 12:30 p.m. ACC NETWORK
The Yellow Jackets won’t be going bowling, but at least they get to visit Miami.
It’s hard to pick Georgia Tech, but I’m going to:
Georgia Tech 33, Miami 23
Actual Score: Miami 38, Georgia Tech 21 (LOSS)
Samford (5-5, 2-4 SoCon) @ Mercer (5-5, 2-4 SoCon)
Saturday, November 21 at 3 p.m. ESPN3
Mercer pulled off another upset last week, beating Furman 27-20 on the road in overtime.
Samford visits Saturday for the Bears’ last game of the season:
Mercer 28, Samford 27
Actual Score: Samford 47, Mercer 21 (LOSS)
No. 15 LSU (7-2, 4-2 SEC) @ No. 22 Ole Miss (7-3, 4-2 SEC)
Saturday, November 21 at 3:30 p.m. CBS
Some say Les Miles’ job is on the line and that a loss here would all but guarantee the end of his tenure in Baton Rouge.
I don’t think that’s too far-fetched:
Ole Miss 31, LSU 24
Actual Score: Ole Miss 38, LSU 17 (WIN)
No. 9 Michigan State (9-1, 5-1 Big 10) @ No. 3 Ohio State (10-0, 6-0 Big 12)
It’s safe to say everyone but Ohio State fans will be rooting for Michigan State Saturday.
However, the Buckeyes will prevail in the first “real test” they’ve seen:
Ohio State 30, Michigan State 20
Actual Score: Michigan State 17, Ohio State 14 (LOSS)
Mississippi State (7-3, 3-3 SEC) @ Arkansas (6-4, 4-2 SEC)
Saturday, November 21 at 7 p.m. ESPN
The winner of a game like this can often be determined by the team who has the most momentum.
After back-to-back wins over Ole Miss and LSU, the Hogs have the edge there:
Arkansas 34, Mississippi State 27
Actual Score: Mississippi State 51, Arkansas 50 (LOSS)
Georgia Southern (7-2, 5-1 Sun Belt) @ Georgia (7-3, 5-3 SEC)
Saturday, November 21 at 7 p.m. ESPNU
Georgia Southern may have the best offense Georgia has seen this year.
The Dawgs better forget that win over Auburn before Saturday:
Georgia 35, Georgia Southern 24
Actual Score: Georgia 23, Georgia Southern 17 – OT (WIN)
Tennessee (6-4, 3-3 SEC) @ Missouri (5-5, 1-5 SEC)
Saturday, November 21 at 7:15 p.m. ESPN2
The news of Gary Pinkel’s retirement at the end of the season was certainly unexpected.
He’s been the coach there for as long as I can remember. Since joining the SEC, the Tigers have been the big surprise, making it to the SEC Championship Game in their first two years as a member.
That said, 2015 has been a different story:
Tennessee 24, Missouri 21
Actual Score: Tennessee 19, Missouri 8 (WIN)
Boston College (3-7, 0-7 ACC) vs. Notre Dame (9-1) *Fenway Park in Boston
Saturday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. NBCSN
Notre Dame is breaking out its green uniforms for the Boston College game.
As a friend pointed out to me this week, it’s odd that the Irish are the home team in the road team’s home city:
Notre Dame 28, Boston College 13
Actual Score: Notre Dame 19, Boston College 16 (WIN)
No. 10 Baylor (8-1, 5-1 Big 12) @ No. 6 Oklahoma State (10-0, 7-0 Big 12)
Saturday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. FOX
The Bears let me down against Oklahoma, but they never quit fighting.
Anyone would have a tough time beating Oklahoma right now. Oklahoma State will find that out next week:
Baylor 42, Oklahoma State 37
Actual Score: Oklahoma State 45, Baylor 35 (WIN)
No. 18 TCU (9-1, 6-1 Big 12) @ No. 7 Oklahoma (9-1, 6-1 Big 12)
Saturday, November 21 at 8 p.m. ABC
TCU lost quarterback Trevone Boykin last week to an ankle injury and almost lost to Kansas (!) without him.
If Boykin plays, this will be an entertaining game.
If not, Oklahoma will blow the Frogs out of the water:
Oklahoma 45, TCU 41
Actual Score: Oklahoma 30, TCU 29 (WIN)
