Bank robbery suspect caught in the act

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man for attempting to rob the Bank of America on Pio Nono Avenue.

According to a news release, 40-year-old Anthony Tremayne Wilson entered the bank around 11:00 a.m. and handed the clerk a note. The note stated that Wilson had a gun and wanted money.

Bibb deputies responded to the bank after the alarm was activated and placed Wilson under arrest within minutes. He is charged with criminal attempt to commit armed robbery.

He is being held in the Bibb County jail
