American Red Cross asks for donors before holidays

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The America Red Cross wants donors to give blood before the holiday season arrives.

According to a news release, a decline in blood donations occurs from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day, a time when holiday festivities are increasing.

Leaders say this makes the availability of blood low for patients.
