UPDATE: Two arrested for robbing teens in Macon
Investigators were questioning the juvenile after they found him with 18 year-old James Allen. Allen was arrested Saturday. Bibb deputies charged the juvenile with 2 counts of armed robbery. He was taken to the Macon Regional Youth Detention Center.
Two people are accused of robbing two teenagers in Macon Saturday morning.
It happened on Dent Street around 3 a.m. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said two males in a Dodge Durango robbed two 15-year-olds as they were walking from a store. One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victims and took several items from them.
Deputies found 18-year-old James Allen and a 13-year-old at a house in Macon. Both were taken into custody. Allen was charged with an armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, underage possession of a handgun, cruelty to children and possession of marijuana. No bond has been set for Allen, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said a relative picked up the juvenile. Charges for the teen are pending further investigation of the robbery. The two victims were not injured.
